HEARTLAND CONSTRUCTION

Heartland Construction is a general contractor specializing in wood frame, multifamily construction. We used this wall panel system on a 228-unit apartment complex (Regency Park) in Bellingham, WA, with great success.

Due to minimal waste in material, the site was much easier to keep clean and organized, providing substantial savings in labor costs for cleanup. We initially had some concerns with off site fabrication. However, given the accuracy, marking and packaging of the panels, our erection of the buildings on site was straightforward. With our own hired crew and two framing subcontractors working on site we enjoyed significantly faster erection of the wood framing than would have been the case without Pro-Fit’s prefabricated wall panels. We found the panels to be completely accurate and with few or no deficiencies.

After having worked with Pro-Fit from the planning stage until completion of framing, we consider this company to be cost and time conscious, and would recommend them to any builder as a construction advantage on any wood frame, multifamily project.

I am writing this letter to convey my appreciation for the efforts that you and your staff put into my project. Having been a construction superintendent for 13 years and involved in the industry for over 30 years, I have had the opportunity to work with many framing companies. Being an old school carpenter I was of the opinion that framing onsite was always the most efficient and cost effective way to build. In May of 2000, I started a 60,000 square ft assisted living facility in Lynden, WA. My project manager wanted me to try a prefab company with the framing, in spite of my objections.

I met with James and toured his facility, and I realized that their organizational framework and attention to detail went far beyond my expectations. Over the next few weeks I was able to spend my time on site with other trades knowing the precision of Pro-Fit’s framing meant that my slab had to be right. The panels arrived on site exactly as scheduled and a four-man onsite crew framed my building in less than four weeks.

My projects are dependent on four things: SAFETY, COST, QUALITY, and SCHEDULE. The Pro-Fit crew worked safe and efficient. Their price was very competitive. The quality was remarkable, there was not one panel that did not work. Every door and window opening was per plan. And as I said the framing went up exactly as scheduled. The framing on so many projects is the critical path because so many other trades are dependent on its schedule and quality.
